Day 1 - Arrive at the Paro Airport

- Arrival at Paro International Airport.
- Transfer to Thimphu (approximately 1.5 hours).
- Check-in at hotel.
- Afternoon birding in the Paro valley, focusing on lower altitude species.
Day 2 - Thimphu and Punakha
Day 2: Thimphu and Punakha
- Morning birding in Thimphu, exploring nearby forests and wetlands.
- Drive to Punakha (approximately 3 hours).
- Afternoon birding in Punakha, specifically along the Punatsangchu River, a potential habitat for the White-bellied Heron.
Day 3 - Punakha and Surrounding Areas
Day 3 & 4: Punakha and Surrounding Areas
- Early morning birding along the Punatsangchu and Mo Chu rivers.
- Focus on finding the White-bellied Heron in its preferred habitat.
- Explore nearby wetlands and forests for other bird species.
- Possible day trips to Wangdue Phodrang or other suitable birding spots

- Full-day birding in Phobjikha, covering different altitudes and habitats.
- Look for high-altitude species in addition to continuing the search for the White-bellied Heron
Day 7 - Departure from Paro
Day 7: Departure
- Morning birding if time permits.
- Transfer to Paro International Airport for departure.
